She’s visited Puerto Rico many times and so when she arrived in Portland, we went straight to Cubo, my fav Cuban restaurant in town. Fine late summer weather and outdoor patio seating didn’t hurt; our lunch made a great start to our visit.

Unabashedly feminist. Judy Chicago was a very important artist for me as a young feminist woman. I saw her “Dinner Party” early after it first exhibited and was enthralled. It was a joy to share my visit with a few of my fab girlfriends. “Unabashedly feminist,” assessed one. One of many reasons I love these and so many other kick ass women in my life.
