      Hi Mary,

Thanks for the nice comment. The statue of Lord Shiva belongs from a place called Rishikesh. It is one of the holiest places in the world and also the yoga capital. Have you ever came to India? If not you must come.

I’ll second that, Manmohan. I haven’t been to Rishikesh, nor most of the other places you write about in this article. But I absolutely found India to be one of the most profoundly beautiful and special places I have been lucky enough to visit. The color and beauty, the history, culture and spirit, and most of all, the people, grab you heart and soul. I too encourage people to visit!

Sometimes the best way to thank someone for helpin Sometimes the best way to thank someone for helping you out is to say, “Come on over. I’ll put out some snacks and open a good bottle of wine.” And 2016 bottle of Woohoo Winery’s Cabernet Sauvignon fit the bill. Discovered @woohoowinery on a wonderful trip to Raymond, Tokeland and South Bend, Washington a couple of years ago and picked up this bottle then. They grow much of their own grapes but grapes fir their Cab came from Washington State’s coveted Rattlesnake Hills AVA. Owner and #winemaker Mike Franks did very well by these grapes. Inky dark, wonderful rich mouth feel, classic flavors. Opened up beautifully. There are worse ways to spend an evening.

Did my prep and at the end of the class, I had a #carrotcake ! Then it was time to play with my food and decorate. Better leave that to the bakers, but had fun and more importantly, this cake is DELICIOUS! Carrots and dates give it a moist, fresh sweetness and the apple adds a bit of crunch. Fresh ground cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg—yum!—and raw cashews hold it all together, pack even more flavor.
